Every golfer enjoys a good match. This one means a little more.
The Rocket City Cup is your chance to team up and face off against Huntsville’s most competitive players. Compete against other local indoor golf venues to bring home the “green” and gold, all while representing your home turf.
We need YOU, and we really want that trophy.
Over the next seven weeks, From July 13th through August 30th, you will compete within The Golffice using a Stableford scoring system – playing a scramble on the front 9 and a best ball on the back 9.
Your team’s goal is to earn as many regular season points as possible to give you the best competitive advantage into the Week 7 Playoffs. The better you perform, the more below par you start before teeing off – similar to the FedEx point system. Your reason to play: to get paid.
How It Works
1. Find your partner and register for the league
2. Set your schedule. Tell us when and where works best for you and play at that time each week. Same bat time, same bat channel.
3. Match the PGA Tour. Before the end of the week, compete where the pros played the previous week. Watch and learn.
4. Climb the ranks. Stay tuned to the leaderboard. Rinse, lather, repeat until Week 7.
5. Bring your A-game. Play well enough in the Week 7 playoffs, and you’ll advance to the championship shootout on August 31st.
League Information
Season Length: 7 Weeks (July 13th-August 30th)
Team Size: 2 Players
Championship: Week 8 (August 31st)
Cost: $280 per player
Weekly Play: Two hours of simulator time included each week
Championship Fees: Additional fees will be due the night of the championship and go to the hosting venue (Boosters GC). Expect less than $50.
Side Bets (Optional)
Compete against the other players who signed up at The Golffice. Side bets include Team Low Gross, Team Low Net, Gross Skins, and Closest to the Pin for Weeks 1–6, with payouts made by Week 7.

Weekly Tournament Formats
Each week your team will play a Scramble/Best Ball format — one format on the front nine and the other on the back.
Then, at the championship, qualifying teams will battle it out in an Alternate Shot Horserace.
These team formats reward complete teams instead of just long hitters, making every week a new challenge.
Handicaps Made Simple
You don’t need an established handicap to participate. League handicaps are determined through SGT’s handicap system, allowing experienced golfers and newer players to compete on a level playing field. Golf Genius will be there to show how all the teams stack up against each other.
Simply play your rounds and let the system handle the rest.
Flexible Scheduling
Life gets busy. We want to stick as close as possible to the schedule your team signs up for, but rounds can be made up as long as they’re completed by Sunday night.

Championship Week
When the Week 7 playoffs conclude, the top-performing Golffice teams will move on to the Rocket City Cup Championship.
There they’ll compete in an Alternate Shot Horserace against the qualifying teams from the other participating facilities for local bragging rights and the Rocket City Cup title.
Every regular-season round matters because every point earned in Weeks 1–6 improves your team’s starting position in the playoffs.
League Rules
Teams consist of two players.
Weekly rounds must be completed before the published deadline (Sunday night).
League handicaps are determined through SGT’s handicap system.
Substitute players are permitted when approved by league administration.
All official rounds must use the league’s designated course and settings.
League officials have final authority on scoring and rules.
